
Jan Rydfors MD
Dr. Rydfors received his medical degree and specialization training from Stanford University Medical Center, where he is an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor. Dr. Rydfors has extensive experience in the workup and treatment of unexplained infertility and unexplained early pregnancy losses (miscarriages). Over many years, Dr. Rydfors has developed the Freyja Protocol®, a successful multidisciplinary and integrative reproductive immunology program to prevent recurrent miscarriages and to solve unexplained infertility, which attracts patients from all over the U.S. He is the initial creator and current co-author of the popular “Handbook in Obstetrics, Gynecology and Infertility,” now in its sixth edition, the main handbook used by the majority of obstetricians and gynecologists in training in the U.S. He is the co-founder of Bonafia®, the first non-invasive way to instantly determine your level of inflammation. Atena Asiaii MD
Dr. Asiaii earned her medical degree from Brown University, a Master’s in Public Health from Harvard University, and completed her OB/GYN specialization training at Harvard’s Beth Israel Medical Center. Following her specialization, she completed a fellowship in Minimally Invasive and Robotic Surgery under the world-renowned Dr. Camran Nezhat, where she trained in advanced laparoscopy and hysteroscopy, including single-incision laparoscopy. Dr. Asiaii has a special interest and extensive experience in reproductive immunology, unexplained infertility, pregnancy loss, endometriosis, PCOS, and uterine anomalies. She is one of Northern California’s leading experts in laparoscopic treatment of endometriosis. In addition, Dr. Asiaii serves as a medical advisor to iCareBetter, an online platform that connects individuals with endometriosis to vetted clinicians. Dr. Asiaii was nominated into the Gold Humanism Honor Society for her dedication to incorporating compassion and empathy into medical practice. Lillian Swiersz MD
Dr. Swiersz received her medical training from Loyola Medical School in Chicago and her specialization training at the Kaiser Foundation in Oakland. She completed her fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Stanford Medical Center and later started the In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) program at the Palo Alto Medical Foundation before joining the Freyja Clinic. Dr. Swiersz has extensive experience in the workup and treatment of unexplained infertility and early pregnancy losses (miscarriages). Over her years at the Freyja Clinic, Dr. Swiersz has helped develop the Freyja Protocol® together with Dr. Rydfors.

Angie Tsuei MD
Dr. Tsuei received her medical degree from Loyola Stritch School of Medicine and, after completing her OB/GYN residency, pursued a two-year fellowship at the world-renowned Camran Nezhat Endometriosis Institute, where she focused entirely on the diagnosis, treatment, and surgical management of endometriosis using excisional laser techniques. Dr. Tsuei has extensive experience in the workup and treatment of unexplained infertility and early pregnancy losses (miscarriages). She is trained in the Freyja Protocol®, a successful multidisciplinary and integrative reproductive immunology program designed to prevent recurrent miscarriages and address unexplained infertility. Michelle Buenrostro earned her Nurse Practitioner degree from the University of Cincinnati and has specialized training in women’s health, pregnancy care, and the workup and treatment of unexplained infertility and early pregnancy losses (miscarriages). She is trained in the Freyja Protocol®, a successful multidisciplinary and integrative reproductive immunology program designed to prevent recurrent miscarriages and address unexplained infertility. Michelle has a special interest in nutrition and its impact on chronic systemic inflammation and reproductive health.
